Salt Spring Commons is an affordable housing project on a 5-acre property owned by Island Community Services, within the Ganges Village area and adjacent to an established pedestrian trail leading to Ganges Village and Mouat’s Park.
The Salt Spring Commons complex includes 24 two and three bedroom units and a common house facility.
Using land owned by the organization and ideally suited for family housing, Island Community Services has developed this project to provide high quality rental homes below market rate. The property’s close proximity to schools and services, location within an existing residential neighbourhood, and natural setting make it an ideal place for people to live.
When there are available units, Island Community Services will post the availability here on our website and on the Salt Spring Exchange. At that time we will invite all applicants seeking housing to fill in our online tenant application form, which will become available at that time.
Tenants for Salt Spring Commons are selected based on a number of criteria, and not necessarily on a “first come” basis. We do not keep or maintain a waiting list.
Island Community Services is dedicated to assisting all residents with specific ties to our community who are in need of affordable housing.
