Membership of the BC Society “Salt Spring and Southern Gulf Islands Community Services Society” is open to any person who is over the age of 19, and has been a resident of the Southern Gulf Islands for at least six continuous months.
An eligible person can apply to the Board of Directors for society membership using the form in the link below. Completed forms can be delivered to the main office at 268 Fulford-Ganges Road to the attention of the Board Chair, or emailed to the board. The form can be downloaded, filled out, saved and uploaded at the link below.
Membership approvals are subject to the discretion of the board of directors, as per the society’s bylaws pertaining to membership. Successful membership applicants will be notified upon approval. The $1 membership is due upon approval of a membership application by the board.
New members can vote after thirty days have elapsed from the date of their membership application.
Memberships may be obtained or renewed at any time during the year. A member, to remain in good standing, must re-apply annually.
