Supporting people living independently

Housing Support

Staff support eligible individuals living independently in their own homes to maintain a healthy and safe living environment. Support can include grocery shopping, meal planning, home maintenance and housekeeping, budgeting and financial management, management of medical appointments, vocational support, social networking and community involvement with friends and family, recreational activities and support maintaining their housing. 

Hours of service vary depending on the individual.

Individual Support

Island Community Services offers one to one individualized Outreach and Community Based Supports for CLBC eligible adults with Autism or Fetal Alcohol Syndrome who live independently in their own homes and who face barriers to performing daily tasks.

It assists participants in implementing plans to promote their health, community involvement, employment opportunities, life skills, maintain their housing and support social development.

Hours of service vary depending on the individual.
