Children and Youth with Support Needs

The Child and Youth with Support Needs (CYSN) program provides opportunities for children and youth aged 6 to 18 with diverse abilities to participate in activities that promote their development of life and social skills. Such activities aim to maintain or prompt a planned change in the behavior, condition, and/or functioning of the participant, and create opportunities for them to participate in a range of recreation/leisure experiences, including but not limited to sports, arts, crafts, and outdoors. This program incorporates a best practice approach that includes activities and interventions that are developmentally appropriate, pro-social, and competency based.
