Harvest Kitchen and Cafe

The Harvest Kitchen is the food preparation centre of SSICS providing meals to the Emergency Shelter, Home Meals and a range of other program nutritional needs.

We began our Harvest Home Meals program after the Covid-19 lockdown. With seniors confined to their home, our meal delivery program was developed to support those in need and provide a safe, no contact check in. Along with prepared meals, a food bank hamper was also delivered to seniors who requested it. This need continues and demand for our program has been increasing.

All meals are made in the Harvest Kitchen at the Fulford Hall. Meals and food bank hampers are delivered by our devoted, trained volunteers who are passionate about serving this community.

The Harvest Kitchen Café is our social enterprise strategy to produce some income while providing a social interface with the community at large.

Profits made from our café go back into our Harvest programs providing seniors with prepared meals, coupon program acquisitions and employment opportunities.

It’s located beside Fulford Hall at 2591 Fulford-Ganges Road.
