23rd – Wednesday St. Ann’s Academy Historic Site Tour – Lunch TBA
Walk through the wrought-iron gate, along the drive, up the grand staircase and in the former school’s formal entrance. View the 1920’s era parlours then enter the chapel. Once Victoria’s first Roman Catholic Cathedral, it was built in 1858 and moved and added to the school in 1886. The Ministry of Advanced Education leases the office space while the Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services operates the Interpretive Center, celebrating the history of this important landmark.
28th – Monday Government House Gardens and Lunch at Swiss Chalet
In 1991, Lieutenant Governor David Lam (1988–1995) initiated the Garden Volunteer Program to enhance the existing gardens, create new gardens, and improve the maintenance of the Government House grounds for public use and enjoyment. Dr. Lam’s plans included the involvement of volunteers, the Friends of the Government House Gardens Society, who would maintain the gardens, raise funds and ensure the continuation of interest and support of the grounds.
31st – Thursday Beacon Hill Park Petting Zoo Boxed Lunch, Kite Flying
It’s “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” time again after we pet some baby goats!! Bring your own lunch
