GivingTuesday is the world’s largest generosity movement with active movements in more than 80 countries. It’s based on a basic idea that created a special day encouraging people to do good and to give what they could.
Giving can be by doing with volunteer commitments as valuable as cash and easier for some to give. This Giving Tuesday, consider ways to help locally.
Attend the Viva Chorale Fundraiser “Anne of Green Gables” at Artspring on December 20th and support the local Food Bank.
Volunteer for Island Community Services. There are many opportunities including the Food Bank. You can volunteer a little or a lot.
Donate your returnables at the Recycle Depot. You can dispose of all your returnable containers at the Recycle Depot donating the revenue to Island Community Services. Beverage cans, bottles and milk containers are all eligible for deposit return.
Donate directly to Island Community Services to help support the more than 40 programs that the community relies on.
However you can help is valuable and lifts our community up.
