Community Services would like to invite households interested in buying a home at Salt Spring Commons to an information meeting on January 29th. The meeting will include a presentation on the design, schedule and eligibility requirements of the project. Attendees will have opportunities to look at the architectural plans and ask questions about the ownership structure. A representative from Island Savings will also attend to provide information about qualifying for a mortgage. Applications will be available for households who are ready to apply for pre-qualification.
Salt Spring Commons is a 24-unit shared ownership neighbourhood planned on Mount Belcher near Ganges Village. The neighbourhood will provide homeownership and long-term rental opportunities to island families through the provision of 3 bedroom non-market townhomes. The meeting on January 29th will specifically address the ownership component of the project.
