The Salt Spring Folk Club and Salt Spring Community Services are collaborating to present The Barney Bentall Cariboo Express on Salt Spring Island at Fulford Hall on Monday, November 23.
The event is planned as part of the Folk Club’s annual season of concerts and to raise money for the Food Bank. It is one of the concerts on the Carib oo Express tour that is raising money for food banks in Vancouver, Victoria and Sooke.
The concert is a one-of-a-kind variety show featuring Barney Bentall with Ridley Bent, Dustin Bentall, Wendy Bird, Matt Masters and the Gold Rush Allstars plus special guests. The highly entertaining show is hosted by Canadian music icon Barney Bentall, who blends humorous and sentimental monologues with a heartfelt set of roots and folk favourites.
Sponsors of the Cariboo Express fundraiser have the opportunity to raise their company’s visibility among over 400 event guests and promote the company’s reputation as a socially conscious business. For a donation of $250 or more, Barney dedicates a song to the sponsor with a unique customized monologue/intruduction and each donation made is matched dollar for dollar with a grant from Barney Bentall’s Hawthorne Foundation.
