You are invited to participate in small group discussions to contribute ideas and solutions to help the BC government develop the Poverty Reduction Strategy.
The discussions will focus on two key questions:
• What are the issues facing you and people living in poverty right now?
• What ideas do you have that would help you and others out of poverty?
The Community Meeting on Salt Spring Island will be:
Date: Thursday March 15 Location: Lions Hall – 103 Bonnet Ave, Salt Spring Island Time: Doors open at 12 noon.
Everyone is welcome to have a hot meal together, which will be provided. The discussion will start at 1:00pm.
Help is available with transportation, childcare or other needs. If you are coming from another Gulf Island, we can also help with costs. Please contact us in advance.

The meeting will be facilitated using a “community circle” format, which means that everyone will get a chance to participate equally, in a non-formal way. You don’t have to be an expert to have your opinions heard, so come on out.
