A number of positive things are brewing for the Core Inn building and programs.
We are somewhat back on track with BC Gaming and will receive $20,000 annually towards youth drop-in operations. This returns us to a similar the level of funding that was provided 7 years ago.
We have been addressing the state of the building on two fronts. Bryan McCrae is completing some interior renovations to enhance the lighting, sight lines and general appearance of the main floor. We have also contracted Green City Solutions to conduct a thorough energy audit to inform any further renovations that are advisable and cost-effective with regard to energy efficiency (insulation, air leaks, hydro consumption, windows etc).
