Salt Spring Island Community Services is looking to fill the following  summer student position over the summer.

All positions are open to students who are enrolled as full-time students this year and intend to return to school full-time next school year. All applicants have to be between 15 and 30 years old. Please note that priority will be given to persons with disabilities, visible minorities and Aboriginal peoples. Please indicate in the cover letter if you are a Priority Student. Partial funding provided by Canada Summer Jobs.

COMMUNITY FOOD PROGRAM WORKER.
SSI Community Services Food Programs requires two (2) students to work full time (35hrs/wk) at $14.50 per hour. This job involves working outdoors, planting, weeding, watering, harvesting food to supply the Food Bank, Family Place and other programs at SSICS with local and nutritious food. The student worker will learn about market gardening, crop rotation and will learn about food security in our community. Prior experience with farming/gardening needed. START DATE: June 5, 2017
